JAMES (SANG JIN) CHO

Chairperson

The Choson Foundation

First, I thank our Lord, Jesus Christ, for the opportunity to create the Choson Foundation.  I sincerely hope that our organization becomes of tool of God to carry forward His will.

I have lived in the United States since 1980. The Lord has bestowed many blessings upon my family and my business enterprises. Before finding my faith, I lived for only my own interests. However, the Bible states that “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4).” Therefore, I created the Choson Foundation to share the bountiful blessings I have received with others who are in need.

The purpose of our foundation is to support Christian-based missionary and relief work throughout the world. In addition to our work with missionary groups, we also extend our financial assistance to Korean-American students who are seeking or already enrolled, in a degree program from a fully accredited institution of higher education.

I realize that life can be difficult for many of us as immigrants to this country. When faced with many hardships, we often feel that they cannot be overcome. However, through the strength of our faith in Jesus Christ, we must believe that all things are possible. May the Lord bestow His blessings on all of you in your endeavors.
